Meet a Board Member: Tara Brothers, 2016-2017 Director of Special Events

What excites you the most about the coming 2016-2017 SMPS year?
I’m most excited about our ability to give back to our members this year! We will have one SMPS Pacific Regional Conference Scholarship, two Build Business Conference Scholarships and some exciting news about a new scholarship that will be hitting the streets this year, stay tuned!

What made you want to be an SMPS Seattle board member?
I wanted to understand the back end of the chapter and how we function as a non-profit association.

What goal(s) do you have for SMPS Seattle?
My goals for the upcoming year are to have some great networking events and hit our fundraising goals.

What part of your daily routine do you enjoy most?
Morning yoga and breakfast!

What is one goal you’d like to accomplish during your lifetime?
Finish a triathlon.

If you could have unlimited storage of one thing, what would it be?
Music, I would LOVE to download and have an unlimited library!

If you could learn any skill, what would it be?
Carpentry; I would love to be able to build all kinds of furniture!
