Have Fun, Win Prizes, and Support the SMPS Scholarship Fund

1 - President Lincoln's famous Gettysburg Address started with the line "Four Score and Seven Years Ago." How many years is Four Score and Seven Years?

2 - When the Space Needle first opened in 1962, what color was the top painted?

3 - Instead of small, medium, and large, what company sells its product in sizes called Like It, Love It, and Gotta Have It?

If you know the answers are 87, orange, and Cold Stone Creamery, you're a shoo-in for our chapter's biannual Trivia Night! Come meet other members, have fun, win prizes, and help support the SMPS Seattle scholarship fund.

Twice a year, the SMPS Special Events Committee organizes Trivia Night as a fun way to network and compete against other SMPS members, member firms, and guests. More than anything, it's a chance to contribute funds to the SMPS Seattle Scholarship Fund.

The SMPS Seattle Scholarship Fund supports four gifts awarded annually:

  1. A undergraduate scolarship of $1,200
  2. A scholarship to attend the SMPS Pacific Regional Conference which covers registration fees and $500 toward hotel or airfare costs.
  3. A continuing education scholarship that covers $500 towards workshops, CPSM study materials, CPSM exam fees, etc.
  4. A scholarship awarded, in partnership with the SMPS Seattle Fellows, or $1,250 toward attending the SMPS National Conference.

Last year, so many of our Chapter's members and guests contributed to the scholarship fund that our chapter was able to award two undergraduate scholarships of $1,000 each. Thank you for helping SMPS Seattle achieve our scholarship goals.

The next Trivia Night is scheduled for Thursday, November 12th at the Pyramid Alehouse across the street from Safeco Field. If fundraising is as easy as attending Trivia Night, then there's really no reason we can't make this year better than last.

Bring your marketing team, your technical staff, significant other, trivia buddies, or whomever. Teams consist of four players and registration is open to full teams as well as individuals (we'll get you signed onto a full team during event registration). Even if your team doesn't win, there are raffle prizes and appetizers included with your registration fee.

Bonus: There is pluenty of free parking! This event always sells out, so early registration is encouraged.

Register here today, and we hope to see you there!
